La idea fue pensada para que la policía y los investigadores puedan obtener rápidamente los resultados de ADN en la escena del crimen, sin perder tiempo (un análisis típico no demora menos de un día).A diferencia de los sistemas actuales que requieren de un conjunto de equipos diversos para realizar la tarea, la valija contiene un completo laboratorio en miniatura que permite llevar adelante todo el proceso, desde la extracción hasta el análisis, en un lapso que no supera los 25 minutos.
